first there was dinner in SF at Harris Restaurant. Anthony's dad has been the butcher there for years. dinner was on the house.
see how happy i am?
i had the maine lobster with clams and a baked potato. he had the filet mignon (flavorful melt-in-your-mouth that you would not expect from red meat) with buttermilk mashed potatoes. afterwards, we had the chocolate cake with Kahlua frosting and mocha ice cream.
the restuarant was amazing. in a place like that, i would have expected people to treat us differently, but they were all working hard to make us happy. my kind of service! Anthony suggested that it was because the head chef sat down and chatted with us for a while (old family friend of his whom i met at the company christmas party), so maybe that said something to them. mmmmmm...
i walked out of there in disbelief that we didn't have to pay for the meal, let alone a meal like that. we left a generous tip -- something like 50% of what would have been the bill, just over 3x as much as we would have tipped -- but i still felt cheap walking out of there.
we asked Anthony's dad to give the head chef a thank-you card we bought for him.
now we have weird inside jokes like "frontier gynecologist" and "rub my nipples and think of a president" but it's all in good fun.
during the actual show, there was a woman sitting behind us laughing very loudly. she'd even be laughing when nobody was saying anything. it wasn't the LOLing that bothered me. it was a comedy show, afterall. the thing that bothered me was the phlegm. every time she laughed, we could all hear the phlegm caught in her throat. she didn't even bother trying to clear it out. really, really nasty.
any case: great show.
it took me forever to figure out what to wear. i had my "fashion consultant" on standby and was sending her pics from my camera phone.
this pic was taken after the show by Anthony. the first pic he took displayed a lovely view up my skirt. i don't really like my facial expression in this one, but it's the only one with a clear shot of the fishnets. sexy or slutty?

I think the fishnets are... um, a little on the edgy side. It is probably sexy on you but totally wouldn't be my thing.
Also, you must have had the greatest time! Yay!
